I actually deleted this thread once already when I found a "missing" age group.. but I guess I missed another one..lol

Too late to change it..

I just was curious, whom finds a 914 group to be their buddies..

I'm old enough to remeber when Bob Dylan couldn't carra tune in a bushel basket! Wait a minute, that's no help.

I'm old enough to remeber when the Porsche family (and its derivatives) controlled Porsche. Nope, no help there either.

I'm old enough to remember REALLY racing for pink slips. Good thing I had a hot MoPar then! My parents would have killed me.

I'm old enough to remember when "you may be a redneck if.." jokes weren't jokes!

But I still voted in the poll because.....because.....what?

Worst part of being old is you don't see or hear good and it's NOT caused by too much sex.
Fess up old teeners. Does Viagra make anyone of you hear or see better?

confused24.gif How can I have a mid-life crisis... I never really grew up. confused24.gif

Growing older is mandatory... growing up is not.

I am 23 with 20 years of experience....

Posted by: pfierb Nov 13 2006, 02:47 PM

Can I change my age in the poll ?

Posted by: SGB Nov 13 2006, 10:43 PM

My car was not mid-life, since I got it when I was 30. I'll bet that is true for the rest of us old geezers too. My theory is that the culture at the time of puberty and just after is what people cling to. I'm sure stuck in the seventies, and I'll bet this majority of geezers likes 70s stuff (music, cars, movies, etc.)

Posted by: theol00 Nov 14 2006, 11:00 AM

Since I fall in the category of "old farts" myself ...I wonder if this might be a testamony that the 914 is one of the best sports cars of all times...I have more than one Porsche now ...I had a new 914 in 1973 and owned many other sports cars since than...but the 914 is still my favorite after all those years ...

Posted by: Andyrew Nov 14 2006, 06:53 PM

There is one thing that this poll has proven..

914's are loved, admired, collected, raced, and driven by people of all age groups. I would say that their are a wide spread amount of ages.. Plenty of teen agers and college student ages, family's, grandpa's, and even old geezers..

Love this group. Love this car!

Ya, my gf always wonders why I talk to and hang around "older" guys... I figured it was an interesting observation, and I wanted to find out what the age group that buys these hod rods of ours..

NOW.. the interesting part would be how much % of your yearly income do you spend on your 914 per year...
lol

Posted by: snflupigus Nov 26 2006, 10:25 PM

that gets thrown way off when these old guys retire and pull minimal "income" ---> for tax purposes but seem to have infinite money (return of principal?) to spend on their toys smile.gif --- teener in the trust with all the rest of the money so its not spent just transfered from savings to "914 investment fund" smile.gif LOL

i know in my case my $ spent on the car is a larger percentage of income than it "should" be. smile.gif

914-P retirement plan in the IRS code?
