914World.com _ 914World Garage _ On my way to Lime Rock

Posted by: Part Pricer Nov 10 2003, 04:53 AM

It seems like this happens every year. And every year I ask myself why I do it.

I'm getting ready to head out to Lime Rock for the day. I just checked my outdoor thermometer and it is 12 degrees outside. It is bound to be much colder at Lime Rock.

Hopefully, there won't be any ice patches on the track. To top things off, I'll be driving an open-cockpit car.

(Where are the shivering smilies?)

If you have to ask - you wouldn't understand.
You do it 'cause it's fun.
Hot, cold, wet, wind, etc. all disappear once the green flag drops.

I guess the tech inspectors will not have to do an underwear check before you go on track. Most of the time I am sweating in my nomex. I hope yours will keep you toasty warm.
