Hey,

Is it possible to change the tie rod ends without having to do a complete alignment. Like can I take measurments and make the new ones match the old ones. Just thinking out loud dont shoot me. ar15.gif

In theory I'd say yes, you could do that...in reality, it would be difficult to get an exact measurement and duplicate it....I guess it all comes down to your tools and how well you use them..............

You won't need a full alignment, just setting the toe at the front.

You can align it yourself with a set of strings. Someone has an article around here on how to do it. Take a measurement of your old rods & match that to the new ones and you will be fairly close.

Can't duplicate the alignment setting you currenty have.

BECAUSE the settings you have now are probably screwed hence your need to replace tie rods.

However with the string tape measure method you can get it better than some shops.
