I have weber 44IDF's on my 2.0 and I noticed the accelerator jets on one of them drip while the car idles. The car also gives a pop through the exhaust, almost a backfire but not quite. The valves are adjusted and the timing is set at 27 degrees, so I think the drips are causing my problems.

Are these drips a indicator of bad float adjustment? How do I stop them?

First check at the carb base on the shaft between the barrels where the cam that moves the pump arm lives. Spray some cleaner and wd-39 to see if there is crap hanging it up. What haps with my 40 idf is that the little metal wheel at the end of that arm gets all gommed up...
