I drew up a thing the other day using 4 jack stand uprights, and 2 914 jacks, for mounting on a lift.
Also, I figured while I was at it, I would draw provisions for taking the 'track' out from under each wheel.
as i finished the phone rang and my dog ate the drawings while I was turning down a deal on a vacation I won to beautiful 'historic' savannah georgia for $499 a person... hey mister pakistan... i am in beautiful 'historic' savannah georgia.. lay off.

They look nice, but is it at all tricky to lift the rear of the lift with a long car on it?

Thanks for asking.
No, it is really a very simple deal.
It is no different than just jacking up the rear of a car.
Since the length of the lift is adjustable, you adjust it to fit your type of cars.
Once you elevate the rear, you pull the leg pins, and the rear legs drop down and LOCK in place.
It takes about 30 seconds to have the car completely in the air, not 20 minutes. AND it is about twice as high, or more, as on stands.
I crawled out from under one of my 66 novas ( obviously, on a Kwiklift ) to come in the house and play on the computer.
We are preparing the car for a new GM crate motor, in a couple of weeks.
I have been draining fluids, doing prep work, stuff like that.
Yes, I am the Kwiklift guy, but, I am also a car guy. I know what you guys go thru getting under these cars, and its not fun. - or safe
Sincerely, if you get the chance to use a kwiklift, you will NEVER, EVER, go back to jackstands.
Thats the reason that we sell and ship so many of them around the country, and many, many of them to Europe.
My garage is tiny and the floor has cracked and has high/low spots due to freeze/thaw does that present a problem?

not at all!!
we attend about 100 hot rod shows per year, all over the country, setting up the lift and our complete display booths.
we are always on asphalt, or concrete, sometimes flat and smooth, sometimes wavey, and uneven.
the lift is very solid on any of those types of surfaces, and will still operate very well.
not to worry.
by the way, we have the capacity to do custom applications, if needed.
but whats really great about the kwiklift, - if your car will fit in the garage , the kwiklift will fit.

Sorry for all of my questions, but I'm interested and I always ask a lot of questions.
Our cars are small and the engine is in the middle. I've been reading about the Centerlift bridge. You state that it is meant to be used at the front or back of the unit (but not behind the rear legs). As small as our cars our, they'd probably need to be set somewhere in the middle area. Does this present a problem?

With the type of high strength materials that we use (HSLA A715 grade 80 ), you do not have to worry about using the bridge in the mid-section of the lift.
It will be MORE than strong enought to handle the job.
Also, if you shorten the lift to the shortest length, your wheels will likely be very near the front, and rear.
either way, it is not an issue, at all.
