Will this http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=226 fit our heater systems? Anyone know?
I dont think so. I've looked at bus systems and the hose mentioned is too large for our applications I believe. Although this hose is believed to be the same used inside of the longitudinal on our cars, so I dunno it may work.
The bus heater tubing is bigger than the 914 hose, and the ad states being used for the VW van, but they may be referring to the type1 based bus, which uses a smaller size.
They say it'll fit Bugs. Makes it too small for anything on a 914. The Cap'n

Here is what I have on mine (S.C.A.T.), and the heat works great and it defrosts the windows in the rain...can't remember the sizes. Just go half size over. This is the best for the application, and really does stand up to the heat. Use the low temp stuff for the top side, blower to J tube (C.A.T.) They sell it as well.

IIRC we need 60 mm ID hose which = 2.36". Bigger than 2 1/4 smaller than 2 1/2.
I also found that the outlets on the dual blower have different sizes.
