Sold it to a customer in Japan! He has 40, 914s!
40 914's???? I find that hard to believe Mr. Smart.
He's actually American and exports 914s and beetles/Ghias to Japan for a living. He watches lurks on this list!
I have sold him atleast 20 engines over the years......mostly stockers.
I sale ALOT of engines overseas, about 25% of what I build goes overseas...
Nope, maybe he will speak up here.......
Commission check in the mail ?? LOL

The Japanese guys love their dubs etc. and they are not like the Nigerians, LOL.
A guy named Koji bought a '61 kombi I had for sale on the samba.com. He was from Socal, only saw pic's, shipped it to Vancouver, BC, put it on a boat and straight to Japan.
Smooth sale, $2000 deposit wired into my (empty, not dumb you know) account, balance was paid before it was picked up.
Absolutely no problems at all, real easy transaction
40 914s sounds like a bunch, until you think about someone owning 3000 guitars, 50 Ferraris, and the Batmobile.
It's all relative.... no, I mean I am in Georgia.
M
tell him to "import" some stickers. damn lurkers.
