Ya Know What? The following just occoured to me.

For all the shit people give Lucas electrical systems..... My Spitfire (and this is in england where it's wet as all shit all the time) had far less electrical problems than my 914 does.

I have no end of woes pertaining to the damn turn signal circuits, headlamp fuse blew etc. Never had any such crap with the Spitfire, not even with the 80W/100W headlamps I had in it (I did have to run new cable and a relay for those :-) )

Lucas don't like dry climates.....when my Austin Healey were wet all the time....no problem. The minute it dried out....shitfire....
