914World.com _ 914World Garage _ How to identify Dual Webber Carbs

Posted by: GTPatrick Dec 10 2006, 10:27 PM

How can one identify a dual carb setup on a Type IV 914 engine to see if it is a Webber or Dellorto or whatever ? What kind of markings are on it other than the obvious name of Webber ? Where would these markings be on the carb body ???

It has come down to the nut cutting on what to buy . A Boxster or a 914 with a dual carb , 2.0L that's hopped up with euro pistons , hotter cam and etc. in it . There will be no premature announcemnt this time but one will be coming forth by the end of this month . Possibly a parts car will be included with the 914 , long story there.

Thanks for any info input on the Webber carb question.
