914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Dust cap seals?

Posted by: EJP914 Mar 3 2007, 01:26 PM

Does anyone know where I can buy rubber seals that go on the edge of the front rotor dust caps? Don't remember seeing these on my 2 previous cars - '72 & '73. Current car is 74. Thanks

OEM-421839455 part number ..... price shown is $7.32 bird $8.78 AA

If you took you dust cap down to a local supply house that deals in bearings/machinery parts, you could probably find one that fits.

Or call Dave at GPR 1 800 321 5432

Headrage, It's the black domed cap that covers the outer bearing in the center of the brake rotor. Had a heck of a time getting them off - rusty. There is a rubber seal that goes around the edge of this cap/cover that keeps out dirt, etc from getting to the bearing. I wll try the local Porsche dealer. THanks for the help.
