Unsew this one to separate headrest from the back of the seat
The vinyl I bought is much thinner than the original. Otherwise I couldn't sew it with my machine
draw the beginning and ending of the sewing.
Wife taught me how to sew with the machine
Attach the headrest to the seat. This goes barely into the machine because it's very thick.
Et voila !
I also fixed the small scratches with black silicone ...
Thanks Johannes! You take out the mystery of it and make it look easy.
Thanks for sharing
Danke
Great 'how-to'!! Perfect timing too, as I bought a 3rd seat with the intention of taking it apart and re-covering it myself in the spring.
(Hope my mom's sewing machine is up to the task!)
I have the fabric seat/backpad and they look to be a bit different in that the fabric at the top of the back pad seems to be sewn directly to the base of the headrest vinyl where they meet.
1 vote for moving this thread to the classics section.
Nicely done Johannes!
Another vote to make this a classic
