So,
with all the advances in rubber, what are the top five tires, price is not a factor, best tire is the first factor.

Silly. R250 is the tread compound of the Good year cantilever eagle.
I think the Hoosier A6 is going to be the hot tire for single driver events with cold weather. in a 275 section width on 15 x 10" rims
If it is hot and 2 drivers then real slicks like the Goodyear above or my favorite Hoosier 22 x 9.5 x 15 C3000 in a 25A compound.

G-19 EAGLE
Andy
PS: i run the "807-409-104" ... 23 x 9 x 15, softest compound is the R250 ... they're about 10" wide when mounted on a 7" rim ...

Does your class allow slicks without getting killed in points?

We dont do points, thank god...the NH region does....so I can run either street tires, or slicks...all depends on who shows up...

If you run non-DOT tires, you'll be in class 15 with Ron.
If you run DOT tires and do something non-stock with your fenders, you'll be in class 13 with Steve Berry's 944.
If you run DOT tires and keep things stock, you'll be in class 1 with Schnoerr.
Pick your poison.

Always lurking.
If I stretch my fenders and fit 225s under them I am still in stock, provided I am not running 7 inch wheels. Thems is parade rules.
So, stock class requires STOCK wheels STOCK motors etc...
We in STOCK class never questions each others cars, we just have fun.
Look at some wheels some day. 7 inch is not stock.
