Hey Brad..putting my motor together back tonight...well heres the question, the piston that was not firing had some blowby on top of the piston and the gasket(metal) was fried...a piece of about 3 inches or so was toasted. Would the loss of compression from the blown gasket be the reason that the piston was not firing? Sorry if this is a newb question, but I just want to be sure.
You got it. No compression.. no fire... blowby.
We dont use the metal head gaskets... because they blow out.
