how much if any oil should I expect to see when I pull off the taco plate?

well, lesssee ...

you got an engine with a wet-sump. meaning there's plenty of oil in the bottom part of your engine. then you got a nice big, round plate on the bottom. so you remove that plate and ...

....

now here's the part where you have to guess what happens next.

its a big ass drain plug LOL basically
