After my dad had his last 914 vandalized years back, the decision was made to get another one. We found this one in CA, and its getting shipped to us next week. It's a '74 1.8, original color, L13K. Very solid car. Can't wait to get it! Tell me what you think it needs.
Grats! Looks like a nice 914.
Hey
Welcome to the club !
Looks like a real nice car you got ! Thumbs up on the score !
Got a motor shot?
Why is it sunny? I'm sitting in a foot of snow I haven't seen the sun in 6 months.....I'll go and sleep now.....
Later
Brake fluid needs flushing .... looks a tad dark.
But
It's yellow so it's fast and needs nothing.
it's yellow, so it's gay
just kidding. Nice car, and nice color.
It looks very solid at first glance.
Congrats on the purchase
Thanks for the warm greeting everyone! Heres a few engine pics and misc pics from the owner
BTW, it looks as though the only rust is in the rear trunk due to leaky taillights, and the battery tray has some rust. Hellhole look solid!
great looking car! i recommend changing the brick(aka parking brake) for something more attractive. maybe a nice chunk of black granite!!!
OK, i'll bite. it needs a combo gauge with an oil temp gauge in place of the brake flasher..... (no silver button)

Looks to me that it needs a driver.
Nice Car!...Better start reading-up on the L-Jet you have for your FI...great system! Watch out for vaccum leaks their your worst enemy...especially the easlily overlooked seal under the oil cap.
Oh, by the way...learn the fundamental differences between the d-jet (what most everyone else has for their FI) and the l-jet FI it will save you a lot of headaches.
I might as well just say it....no the vaccumm line that is just dangling off your dizzy really doesn't go anywhere.
Now it's time to go
Awesome car, good luck.
I would suggest seat upholstery...world upholstery has full kits, so does AA.
I would also suggest that after you get the car, replace the battery with an optima sealed battery that will not leak acid..
Or, put an acid mat under the existing battery.
Prior to either of those, remove the battery, wash the area with a solution of baking soda and water...dry with rags.
The baking soda will neutralise the battery acid.
Rich

The interior definetly needs some attention. I have a few parts waiting for it.
Shipping has been scheduled for next week, can't wait!
It needs to be driven a lot!!!!!! Dave
