Holy Macaroni,

How in the world do you weld on a new pivot cup for the rear trunk? Seems I can't even pry the spring off the roller. I unbolted one off my other car and it almost cut my head off. All I want to do to this one is get it out of the way to grind and weld the new one on. I seached the threads to no avail.

What is the magic way pioneers that have tread before me? pray.gif

i pulled up a thread with pictures for you. note the socket with extension.

There is a special tool for rear trunk spring removal. I can't remember where my pops & me found a pic of it but we created a custom tool based on the pics we saw of it. Here ya go:
