passed the In n Out in placentia, ca today. I remember it was like 1am and slugmika and badjuha from finland, came there with me, brando, and others AFTER the dinner for them at hooters!
gotta give the Finns some California Grub LOL.
whats your favorite or most random moment/time you have had with club members?
I think the most revealing time was when I met Drifter Jay and Scott Kline for the first time....
J was going to Iraq. I knew he might not make it back. The war had just started.
I gave him an engine and some other goodys. I remember how It felt to meet a young man that was on his way to do his job.
And put his life on the line for his brothers and for his country.
And I had the luxury tio help this young man out right before he went to Iraq.
It was a very humbling and precious moment. Never to be forgotten.
And it all started here.... With the 914 folks. And that is another reason I am forever grateful for the friends I have met here. I don't have the appropriate words for it. Words would just fuck it up.
Cheers,
Clayton
oh yeah! we are all drunk one time.. oh wait, random - not recurring.
this one time at party camp Dino got taught how to do drunken yoga!
and there was some high beam adjusting also!

Leo, meet Ray
Too many good times to list, but this one was the most recent
nicely done....
changing rear brake pads on headrage's car on the Palos Verde run a few years back
The northeast wrenching session when we got Leo's old engine running (which was the day after finding out my head swap was to become a full on top end rebuild...).
Video link (I don't know how to make a link my own verbage, I just copy & paste the link??)

We used to have kinda sorta regular meetings here in the OC a few years ago, SuperMex was always a good time and it rates right up there with Hooters!!

I know what ya mean Scott.... It's terrible to see a man age 74 years in 6 months. I guess thats what happens when you have a bitchin 914/6...
With no engine.........
C
we all looked a few years younger then....
good memories skline!
we need to have another BBQ this summer.

One of the most memorable and enjoyable was when Howie, Bernie "Bernbomb" and I were seated at the same table for breakfast at the WCC04. It started something really perverted and some really good times.
Then there's the SloCal, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, Maryland, etc. How do you really pick something that's not a favorite when it comes to this crowd?
Clinics too!!

One of the best runs I have been on, Mexico!!

One of the few runs that Joe Buckle actually got to go on also but it ended when he had some problems with belts.
Can you guess what the most popular color at this run was? Does anyone even remember this run?

Some random ones. Most of the ones posted bring back some great memories for me personally I miss you crazy WC guys and gals. I remember the one at the Stone brewery (Toast bought the pitcher ).
I definetly have a folder labeled "914 Events".
Ah, Mexico. By far one of the funnest runs EVER. No laws on the old Hwy 1
Some of my new EC 914 family

We need another OC Hooters Dinner. Next Weds. Night!
Don't have pics on this PC... Will post in a bit
Which Hooters? We haven't been to the one closest to Scotts house yet but I'll bet he's been there a few times. Or maybe not since he got a new room-mate.LOL
Cheers, Elliot

We really enjoyed that meeting, thanks again, thats my favorite moment with club members for sure.
We are planning to visit SEMA again this year. We really shoud meet again. I think we need to buy 914 to drive around California in style, it would be so much cooler than rent a compact.

Ok, I retract that statement, my memory is not so good as I would have hoped, I just looked at the dates from the pictures, Temecula was done in July and the breakfast run was November all in 2003. The Baja run 2 was in August. Perhaps I should get back on the Ginko again?
In my experience if you can remember to take the ginko....your memory is fine.....I take ginko viagra so I can remember what the fuck I'm trying to do....or whom.....
Another oldie but goodie... WCC '04, Scott Thatcher welding the passenger's side suspension ear on Doug's newly-bought half-and-half car from Bondo. Every touch of the button on the welder flickered the lights in all the hotel rooms on the north wing. An assortment of armchair specialists circulated from the parking lot to the room with karaoke and alcohol. He was track-ready by the following morning!
...last Summer over at MovieTimeCars' Shop in North Jersey for Pete's engine rebuild, learned lots; laughed alot too...didn't realize that that was Will Ferrell's Talladega Nights car in the second pic. I'm pretty sure Nate (turboman808) was contiplating taking it for a ride....
