Is this the mount for a underbody swaybar from a 911?
Is it somehow compatible with the throughbody sway bar?
Is it just welded on?

thats for the underbody 74+ 911 swaybar
You'll need to cut and grind that mount off for a thru body style bar.
These are from http://www.tarett.com
They are the weld on style (how the factory did it.)
Just grind those off and weld the "old style" ones back on...
under-body swaybar a-arm on the right, modified a-arm on the left

I cant find 12CM anywhere on my tape measure?????
Hey M,
Better get some metric cresent wrenches while your at it too.
John
Another reason why I like the SmartCamber bars.... it doesnt use that tab/bracket.

I had a 911 with an underbody bar, but I never even looked up under there..
I think I like that, it's funky.
Anyone have a good set of a-arms with the mounts already there... besides the ones that are being mangled upthread?
M
I just cut the mounting tabs off and will be using the Smart Racing Bar.
I was getting ready to weld new ones on when Mueller clued me in that the SRB clamps onto the diagonal supports on the A-arms.
any pictures of how the SRB mounts?
I cant find a installed pic on the control arm.. but you will get the idea from this pic.
The part with the arrow clamps around the round support tube on the control arm.
Some think this setup keeps the drop link out of potential bind when you set the bar on full stiff (because of its location relative to the drop link)
B
I Appreciate the offer on the undermount bars but I would like to utilize my existing welt bar till I can afford something prettier like the SRB
