interested in learning the ins and out of adding a dry sump. where to mount the pump taping the black and so on.

If you check the tech articles on the Pelican site I have an article with saeveral pictures of how we did my stroker four in the race car. Unless the car has a big engine and is going to be a very serious race car I would say the cost just does not justify the benefits. Basically you start with a new sump cover, suction line to an external oil pump that discharges to the front cooler through braided lines, then back through more braided lines through a remote oil filter to the dry sump tank. The tank feeds the pressure side of the external oil pump that feeds the engine internals. Many 914s and 912s I see vintage race just use the "tuna can" and get by just fine.
Advantages -
1.) Positive oiling under most circumstances ('cept upside down)
2.) Reduction in (oil) parasitic drag in engine
Disadvantages -
1.) Very Expensive
2.) Very Expensive
Two things:
1. Look at Jake's Full Flow oil system and add an external cooler
2. Consider a Accusump oil accumulator.
