914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Floor/Firewall Sound Proofing

Posted by: tracks914 Jul 16 2007, 11:24 AM

On my first project I put the original type floor material back in the car. It worked well but this time I am thinking something different.
I was contemplating spraying the floor and firewall with a rubberized undercoating or truck box bedliner material.
What have you done and how well did it work?

I would imagine that the rubberized undercoating would serve as good sound deadening...I will also soon be doing this...

I used Fat Mat (www.fatmat.com). Just as good as DynaMat, and a lot less expensive.

They have a spray on sound deadener called quiet car and under some other name.
I've heard good things about it and I'm going to use it.
