(i get tired of looking for the old thread)
Our host hotel is going to be http://www.laquintamoab.com/
La Quinta Inn - 815 S. Main Street - Moab, Utah 84532 - 435.259.8700
Rooms are $95 +tax
I have 35 rooms reserved, but I suggest you book soon, because we used all of them last year, and every other hotel in Moab seems to be booked this year.
If there is a problem booking a room, please send me a pm, and I'll fix it for you.
When you call in, tell them you are with the clubNARP or 914World group, and you will receive the discounted rate.
We are trying to work out the event registration fee right now, and are waiting for price quotes from the restaurants. As you know, all of the money from last year went to all of your meals, and anything left over was donated to CHARITY. Last year's recipient of the charity funds ($1500) cried at the presentation. It was pretty moving.
We anticipate the registration fee for the event will be no more than $70 this year.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking forward to another fantastic time in Moab this year with 914's from all over the country.
Make sure you mark these dates on your calender now:
September 21-23......................
Moab has some incredible mountain roads and scenery like no other in the country.
Should be another fantastic time in MOAB this year.
Looking forward to the rolling beer kegs on hotel luggage carts again.

registration can be paid in the form of check or paypal, but no credit card paypals.
(sorry cash paypal only so we save the 3% fee's)
To register, please send me a direct email to:
brant914@hotmail.com

I should be collecting royalties for every use of my photo. I could probably retire by now - or at least pay for the rear bearings that I'm putting in so my car can get to Moab in September!
haha
What about the use of my image?
i could get a minor in possession misdemeanor for that picture.....
Hot damn I'm excited!
Reserved...
I love Moab!!!
I go there to Mountain bike, 4x4, road bike and now 914 touring..
NICE!
I just hate businesses that treat custormers poorly. I just called La Quinta to reserve a room and was told they were to busy to help me..
Wow
Did you guys call the local number, or the 800 number?
The local number is what we've been using.
They have actually been very accomadating.
I'll call my contact in the morning and let them know. Maybe they'll give us a bigger discount
but let me know that you made your reservation, so that she can reference it
I called and got some woman yelling at her kids in Spanish.
Hung up.
Called back got a very nice girl who took my reservation.
Made an early reservation, just contacted Brant to pony up some fees ?
Looking forward to another cool 914 event

I did get a room. Had to call the 800#, they try tell they were full and then they said there was no club rate for us. But we got a room that's all that counts. I did call the local number the 1st time I got the girl telling me I would have to call back and the 2nd time I got the guy telling he was to busy.
Wow, thanks for following up with that Greg!
It's nice to have an answer.
The Events forum should probably have a thread about this event. I couldn't find anything there regarding a 2007 RRC.
Email sent.
I love MOAB!!!!
Welcome to the all Moab all the time channel
Notice Ernie's car is pointed downhill
Just hoping I'm well enough to make it. Have my room reservered, just not sure how well I'll be doing by the time this event happens. Gotta get my car inspected and emission tested this month. Here hoping.....
Only a few days left ot guarantee yourself a spot at the hotel.
After that the rooms go back to the gen pop.
Howard won't be there this year, but I think I have just about convinced his daughter to come along for the ride
***********
I just spoke to the HOTEL.
Our group reserved 27 rooms. The remaining rooms were given back to their National reservation desk. However, I sweet talked them into giving us 5 MORE ROOMS for reservations. If you have not booked a room, you only have 9 days to do so. She said that the hotel is pretty much full at this point, so this is a last chance offer

For anyone who is thinking of coming last minute and is worried about a room...our LOVELY birthday fairy has a room going begging because of lifestyle conflicts...or maybe she's gonna hook up with one of us...WOOHOO... Seriously though, she has paid for the sucker and if someone needs a room...it's for sale....help the gal out...she is the bomb.
Greg,
Did you get my PM about the wine?
John
Yes Sir. And thank you once again.
Delicato has been more than generous..
This is a charitable event, and all donations are greatly appreciated.
It was nice of you, and your company, to step up once again and help support our event
We thank ALL of our sponsors
I'm calling in reservation numbers tomorrow.
Time to poop or get off the pot.
I'm constipated, so I'll get off.
We will all be eagerly awaiting the posting of the visuals of this legendary "running of the 'teeners".
What happend to the sunshine for the weekend? Now it's saying rain for Friday and Sat!
That is Utah for ya.
Forecast is for "isolated" T Storms. I wouldn't sweat it.
That usually equates to a passing evening shower.
Or Snow! (BTDT)
PROPOSED SCHEDULE:
Friday

If anyone is interested in leading a group drive, after the morning drive, feel free to do so.
6:15 - Dinnerat the Red Cliffs Lodge (provided)
Awards will be presented, as well as a charity raffle.
Sunday
Breakfast Buffet at the Red Cliffs Lodge
They have reserved the banquet room for us. The cost is $12.95 per person, and I hear it is quite tasty.
Bye - bye
Hey Trojanman! I got a warning that they are doing construction on the La Salle Loop road. There is a 100 mile bicycle ride that is planned for October 6th.
Here is a snippet:
The Bridge is still out! We announced the final word a month ago that the Federal Highway Administration's construction of the bridge along the LaSal Loop road used previously at the Moab Century Tour would not be ready in time for the October 6th ride.
I don't know the exact route you have planned but I thought you would like to know that there is a bridge out and you can't complete a loop.
Thanks. I'll have to call the forest service. I am trying to remember where there was a bridge on the loop
The LaSal loop road runs off of 128 and then back to 128 (a loop). But 128 should be open.
I called the restaurant, and they said the road does not loop through. No biggie. We have alternatives
