Went to start my car last night and couldn't get it to fire. Haven't check for spark but I wasn't smelling fuel from the carbs after 3 or 4 attempts.
I could hear the pump running.
Just curious if anyone has experienced a failure where the pump would run and not flow.
Besides being out of gas.
From what I understand, the pump should click when preasure is built up in the lines and if it just keeps running, it makes me wonder. That kind of pump is know for starving carbs of fuel. My buds are running them Holley pumps from Advance Auto or something and they run a good volume of fuel to the carbs when needed. I run one of them CB Performance self regulating high volume pumps and it pumps like a charm.
It has always run and sounded like it does. I have a new CB performance rotary to install.
I don't even know if the pump is the problem.
Could be a plugged filter.
