914World.com _ 914World Garage _ broke my clevis

Posted by: qa1142 Jul 27 2007, 08:54 PM

Last week I drove last few miles with no clutch. I thought cable broke, but clevis at peddle assembly split.

It was easy fix clap56.gif (I have had a spare cable and hardware just in case).

But is this "normal"? confused24.gif

probably means your cable is not adjusted right and when you press down on the clutch pedal, you over-extend (stretch) the cable.

there's a adjustable rubber stop for the clutch pedal ...

LOL
And I have been teaching my 19 year old 225# son how to drive the stick.

Guess I need to set that stop!

Thanks Andy
