Hmmmm, wife is going to ask me here soon, what I want for my birthday... I think I'll lay it on her:

that would make me very happy
yes sir
Looks like a tarted up 914 to me.
How much? ..... 400K?
Any bets on how long till one is on evilbay?
I'm sure the car is more fun than a barrel of boobs but it looks like an Australian drug dealers nightmare, talk about all the ricer boy racer crap on the car....OK maybe it's just me. Flame suit properly adjusted...Jim
"The numbers on this car are most impressive: the 5.7-liter 612-horsepower (European rating, U.S. rating not yet available) V10 engine takes the car to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds on its way to a top speed of more than 200 mph. Part of the secret to the Carrera GT's performance is lightweight technology. The chassis is built out of carbon-fiber reinforced plastic, providing high strength for an unladen weight of around 3,000 lbs. The first Carrera GT models produced at the Porsche plant in Leipzig, Germany, will be delivered to customers at the end of 2003. "
I notice they left out "how much?"...but as I have to ask I guess I can't afford it.
There have been a couple of these on ebay, a kit car that was very well done, it had "I beleive a Fiero motor" Also many brkers are selling a purchase position for th Carrera GT.
I sold a 914 roller body to a fellow who has one of these on order, and if you saw his garage you would not doubt him. I asked him if I could have a ride in his new Carrera GT after he took delivery, he said yes. I will definetly take the camera.

It looks a hell of a lot more like a sports car than the new 997.

I would settle for a new GT3.
At least it's more "sports car" than that SUV thier now selling.
If they would let me borrow one for a few days I'll make molds of the body for everyone.
