914World.com _ 914World Garage _ 914 Shift rod coupler Question?

Posted by: hwgunner Aug 24 2007, 11:47 PM

OK, got around to putting new bushings in a shift rob coupler that I had laying around and realized that it did not look the same as the ones that I had on the shelf. Can you guys tell me the diff. between the one in the first pic and the one in the second pic??

Right on ...... and you will find that the 911 coupler bushings have slop in them when new ..... the hole is slightly oval.

You can use the cone screw portion of the coupler on a 914 .... ya just gotta throw away the splined part.
