glühwein is boiling hot redwine with a bunch of spices (cinnamon etc.)

Trsut me....it goes down easy. Liquid courage for the slopes when I was in Germany....before the invasion of snowboards and I still had knees.

Liteweights...

The glühwein sounds great. I want some. Got a recipe Andy?

Posted by: Carl Dec 29 2003, 07:45 PM

I like the combination of Christmas lights and kitchen utensils. Very festive!

Did Brad eat that whole pie? It looks like one for him and one for everyone else.

You didn't know! Brad is pig when it comes to eating pies and cakes. Wants the whole damn thing all to himself....

eats prison style too, with his elbows on the table and a fork in each hand guarding the food.

I like the photo of the table at 3 AM. It tells a story with no caption needed.
Maybe that's the photo for the front of the web site!

Yes. We had a good time. Yes. I need a haircut (still).

The glühwein is not BOILING. That would remove the alcohol. You keep it just below boiling. I was putting it away as fast as I could.. then we started the Heini's.

Yes. Stand back when there is a pumpkin pie anywhere near me. I only eat them twice a year (TGiving/Christmas) and I only eat two.

I think Andy posted a recipe for Glühwein a few weeks ago. It sounded good, so I bookmarked it. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm thinking New Years eve might be a good night to mix some up. In any case, here's the link:
