Whats JP's . . ?
How do I get there?
Who's going from seattle?

I'm new here, but if I don't fight fires this summer I'll be a regular at everything- might as well get started early.

Posted by: Bleyseng Dec 30 2003, 08:37 PM

Fly in, I just saw tickets to Seattle for $135 round trip on United.

I am going witha 914 car this year.

JP is JP Stein who is the second oldest first badass 914/6 AX driver on the West Coast.

Do a search as there are TONS of pictures on his car and projects.

Sounds good I need directions. Myself and wife, possibly another Porche freak and his turbo cayenne. beer3.gif

Posted by: J P Stein Dec 30 2003, 10:07 PM

No need to bring a 914 or "other" Porsche.....a gud line of bullshit will suffice. I have a map ....somewhere in the bowels of my old puter. I'll retreive and Email it to whoever needs it.

BTW, it's snowing again. blink.gif

Posted by: boxstr Dec 30 2003, 10:28 PM

I wouldn't miss this for any thing. Well maybe something. No not for anything. Jim Chambers will be there also. Paris Hilton is coming, you know, the simple life and all.

The wife volunteered to take care of the food thing....I knew she was a keeper 30 odd years ago wub.gif ... so all I have to do is clean the place up and hide all the portable gud parts laying around....or nail them to the work bench.

Posted by: Bleyseng Jan 19 2004, 05:19 PM

Damn, going to your place is like going to a racing junkyard. I filled my pockets with everything that wasn't nailed down.

Too bad the alarm went off when I left! You were nice to me and just had me empty my pockets of the cool parts.....

Maybe you could do a easteregg hunt with leftover parts?

Geoff

Mueller,Andy, and I are trying to figure out how to make this happen. I also spoke with Dave Darling about attending with us since we all live in the same general vicinity. Muller has a crew cab trunk and so do I.. so we could feesibly get 4 people from the SF bay area to the event.

I don't think I can go, BUT I may need some help.
I'm hoping to deliver a 2.7 / 6 to Seattle next weekend, to SOMEONE..if so I may also be bringing a set of wheels for Craig C Laughlin, who would kindly love for someone to ferry them down to Jp's for him. Is anyone driving something that can accomodate the wheels?
I would meet them maybe saturday morning and hand em' over.
Still not quite solid on the plan, I haven't heard from the guy who wanted the 2.7.
Bob O

Posted by: Bleyseng Feb 15 2004, 12:56 PM

I am planning to take the 914 unless its rainning, I can't stand to drive for 2hrs in that car in the rain. Too many SUV's on the freeway switching lanes without lookin....

Geoff

Posted by: 914ghost Feb 15 2004, 01:21 PM

Or maybe theres 3 or 4 914's going?
We could put 1 wheel in each car!!
Just for the heck of it, if the guy decides against taking the 2.7 engine I may consider hauling it down to JP's if someone from down south can't live without it. That may be the only reason good enough for my ol' lady to let me off sat. night.
Bob O

Posted by: rdauenhauer Feb 15 2004, 01:21 PM

I had a conflict and didnt think i was gonna make it, yesterday after a bit or V-day charm, its lookin a bit more promising rolleyes.gif
Im w/Geoff was gonna drive the teener unless the weather was foul, but took her out for a spin yesterday and the bitch stranded me(the teener not the Wife).
No start smash.gif after replacing the F'n starter the week before. So unless I can resolve befor next weekend it may be the trk.
So Bob maybe.

no good on the used selenoid, huh? laugh.gif you guys that are rain wimps crack me up. how long have you lived here?

kevin

Posted by: Bleyseng Feb 15 2004, 05:08 PM

I have driven the 914 in the rain on the freeway and when its rainning I can't see shit from the water off other cars at 70mph!
2 hrs of driving blind in the dark coming back in the rain ain't gonna happen again. If its wet I will be in the Ranger and can take the wheels Bob.
If its nice I will drive the 914, trying this week to get the CD and speakers working again after Blair rewired em.. mad.gif

Kevin, you are the one who can barely drive to Seattle from Tacoma! Talk about lazyass!

I think it'll be ready to go by Thursday afternoon (fingers crossed). I don't need the Mahle for my spare now, so whenever.. no hurry.. smile.gif

Rich, give me a call. I was leaving Seattle at 10am. Gotta try to figure out why the turnsignal/brakelite/tach/oiltemp fuse blows every 5 minutes. Yeah, I know a short but where?

DaveHunt, I was figuring on drivinng at 65 all the way to Vancouver plus stopping maybe for a bite along the way. I don't want to drive straight thru (my back is sore already)

man, 0 miles on the odo and you're whinning. the "country cousin" in centralia has good chow. go down 167 to 512. does the fuse pop when you turn on the turn signal or put on the brakes. i'll carry a few extra fuses for you geoff rolleyes.gif by the way, the speed limit is 70.

I am not eating there again! I went there with Monique and the kids last year. barf.gif I was sick all the way to Portland.

No the fuse blows when I am driving without hitting the brakes/turnsignals.

I know the speed limit in 70, I said that cuz you always drive so slow and I want you to keep up with the rest of us. laugh.gif
