914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Nice dash, Value? No cracks

Posted by: hwgunner Nov 10 2007, 02:33 PM

I have a very nice dash top that i am getting ready to sell but am not sure about the value. It does not have any cracks and is in great cond. the problems that you will find on it are as follows. At the edge where the top of the ash tray meets the dash it looks a little funny. The edge is not crisp and straight, it has a bit of a wave. Also, when I cleaned it, there are a couple spots that do not come off. They are very hard to see and would be barely noticable. Here are a couple pics.

I have sold two on ebay this year. One in the same condition as yours and the other was 100% mint. I got $400 for one like yours and the other went for $650 piratenanner.gif plus shipping costs.

Both came out of parts cars I paid $100 for biggrin.gif Some here will tell you that they cane be recovered for less $$, but they are only original once. I Wouldn't take anything less the $350 for it. YMMV

Wow... I just gave one away that was in great shape. Sometimes I think I should ask for money for some of my spare parts, but then I am happy to be rid of the clutter.

I though you could still get NOS for less than $650 from places like AA and such. I must be wrong.
