I am sitting here sorting out some pics on the computer and ran across this one from a few months ago. Guy brought his 911 in for me to rebuild his pedal cluster and look over misc other things. Upon opening his trunk I found his hood prop.

The PO of my 911 used to use a stick with a rag on the end. He called it his "competitive advantage."
I bought a gizmo at Wal-Mart that attaches to the lift shock like a piece that holds a screen door open, and now I don't have to use a prop. (Long nose 911's all do that, the hood is too heavy for the shocks.)
Actually it matches the wood for the 911 floorboard foot-rests and also the wood hidden in the ungawdly heavy fold down back seats. Cars made with wood, I thought that was left to the ingenious British.
