914World.com _ 914World Garage _ 911 owners DO have a sense of humor !

I am sitting here sorting out some pics on the computer and ran across this one from a few months ago. Guy brought his 911 in for me to rebuild his pedal cluster and look over misc other things. Upon opening his trunk I found his hood prop.

Actually, since the price of repro patch panels came down they are MUCH more
common than they used to be.

Heh.

The PO of my 911 used to use a stick with a rag on the end. He called it his "competitive advantage."

I bought a gizmo at Wal-Mart that attaches to the lift shock like a piece that holds a screen door open, and now I don't have to use a prop. (Long nose 911's all do that, the hood is too heavy for the shocks.)

Actually it matches the wood for the 911 floorboard foot-rests and also the wood hidden in the ungawdly heavy fold down back seats. Cars made with wood, I thought that was left to the ingenious British.
