As it typically goes with porn, it becomes addictive and others post porn as well. I don't think this should be any different.

Pretty! Nice headers guys, you both must be going for the torque factor on your engines. I am seeing both sets of headers with the three tubes meeting as late as possible. Perfect for something like a 3.0 or 911E cam engine.

Yes I'm useing a stock 1978 3.0 which does have fairly large heads but still makes good torque and horsepower. I'm leaving stock internals for now but will be running 40mm Webers. She should perform well at autocross,DE and just be a fun street car. I have a 83 SC also that is tricked out with major suspension upgrades and is a blast also. I really like these 3 litres

How are these going to fit????
From the picture there is a bit of the tube sticking up above the flange. 911 engines don't have anything sticking up above the flange.
I really can't see how they will work.....
They do look great though!

I don't mean to hijack, but I wondered when someone would ask.
The extended tubes I added to the headers prior to coating serve the purpose of protecting the exhaust gaskets.
Mine go on 3.2 heads. The stock 3.2 exhausts have similar tubes extending into the heads to protect the gaskets as well (that is where I got the idea). It works well on the track car that way.
I also added extended tubes to the two extensions for the same reasons.
You may notice the tubes that fit into the heads are long. When I first fitted these to the engine, I noticed that they fit much too close to the cam housing than I would like so I made 3/4" thick spacers (not shown, but the exact size of the gaskets) to space the headers away from the heads and give me more clearance between the header pipe and the cam housing. Hard to explain, but I have no pictures of them installed here at work.
(Mine are also fitted to a Euro 3.2 which is why there is no O2 sensor bung installed.)

Thats how a lot of newer motorcycle exhausts are designed too. It makes them really really easy to put on.

I size the tubes to be a tight fit inside the header tube and a slip fit into the heads. (The 3.2 heads already have a recessed area machined into the exhaust ports to accept the tube). I then tack weld the tubes into the headers.
I square the ends on my lathe and then taper the inside of the ends that slip up into the heads for a smoother transition of the exhaust.
I can't take credit. I stole the idea from the stock 3.2 exhaust I removed. I think the factory did it at most of the joints. I did it at all of my joints.
They are easier to install and the gaskets don't blow out.
