I may have an engine bar and shifter with the tunnel rod. But no shift rod from the firewall to the transaxle. If you can't find anything closer to RI. Let me Know.

You might also try looking (or asking!) in the Classifieds section.

Ryan,

Make sure you get the outside support brackets for the crossbar and related hardware. You will also need the steel brackets that hold the rubber engine mounts to the block.

and a special bushing for the firewall. the one that is in there will not fit tight anymore, you need one with a reduced diameter. got mine from HPH http://www.highperformancehouse.com/ ...

Good one Andy.

I have ran across several cars that have been converted and had the wrong firewall bushing. You have to specifically ask for the "adapter bushing" at the firewall.

I have a spare engine support bar that you can have for free. All you need to do is pay for the shipping, if you cannot find one locally.

What about the rubber boot that goes over the shift coupler?

On a sideshift conversion, how does this boot fit onto the car since the firewall is the wrong shape?

You'll need the OEM plastic cover for the early cars. Flip it over so the shaft goes through the whole correctly. Then make flat plate with a lip to hold the late style rubber boot. If I get a chance tomorrow, I'll show you in a pic.

ahhh, so many little bits and pieces to track down..

This is not a small task. It will take you weeks to convert the car if somebody doesnt send you EXACTLY what you need the first time. Most lists I have seen published where not complete.

well, the latest news is that my mechanic found a later style tranny w/ the stuff to go w/ it supposedly, but it's $1100 w/o, and he thinks it's too much. i think that if this is gonna be to hard to sort out i may just put in the early tranny stock for this car. is it really that much worse?
