914World.com _ 914World Garage _ San Diego, Riverside, Orange, North counties.....

Posted by: Twise Jan 29 2008, 05:28 PM

Well a few of us met at Seans place last week, and it was cool (actually it was freezing). His shop is in SD, College and University. We can meet at my place here in Escondido and Mugs has offered his place in Vista. So, the question is SD or North County. All three of these places are shops where we can tinker and help each other out. I have a lift I can make available for our meets here. So we really need to nail this down. Clubs gots to meet. We could always alternate as well...

We also need to determine when we should meet - Weekday, or Weekend? Once a month sounds about right, so something like third Wednesday of the month or first Saturday etc...

So cast your vote...

I'd like to move it around.
I'm sure some people will be more apt to show when its in their neighborhood.

I live in Temecula - Anyone got a shop in Temecula Murietta area???

We can do it at my house, right around the corner from my house is a Lowes with a huge parking lot - well lit. We could meet there, or at my place I could probably accomodate 8 or 10 people comfortably. I think Temecula would be close to the halfway point between sd and riverside counties.

I would come up to Riverside because it is the same drive home for me from either direction. Let me know man...

I think we should just start getting together, whoever can.
Sometimes more will come, sometimes less.

My thought is we have a couple people who are interested in getting together, so lets roll with that.

Maybe we should just type our vote in...

Example - I vote for alternating locations.

Okay - I am thinking Carne Asada cookout when the weather clears up - Escondido close enough for everyone in two weeks or so??

2/16 or 2/23 Both are Saturdays... Say my place here in Escondido at 10:00 or so?

What do you think??

Posted by: brer Feb 5 2008, 11:49 PM

i'm game for whenever.

Sounds good to me, but the 23rd is the weekend of the Porsche lit meet and the "Used to be Dunkle's" swap meet. Could we plan on a weekend other than that?
