better look
these were a bit rusted and neglected when I got them...I just did a quicky paint job with some rattle can gloss black for centers and gloss grey for the rims.
they will be bead blasted and repainted in a factory finish silver and then clear coated. That job will start next week once I get the old race rubber off of them.

Nope, there is a specific year of 944 that has the perfect offset. They are 24mm and 15mm IIRC. I can recheck. I am running 17X7 with 225/45 in front and 17x9.5 rear with 255/45. I didnt want to use adapters. I have 5 lug conversion parts and a 911 front. I have 2 sets of drilled rear rotors if anyone is interested ($100 ea + ship).

I welded brackets to the body and then pop riveted the front and rear bumpers to the brackets. The rear bumper is also seamless. Then, LOTS of fiberglass work !!

true but as long as we all like how we have personalized are 914s. i personally like the 916 look. i dont like the idea of cutting up the front end like they do with those chalon kits. but as long as we like wut we have and can defend y we did it its cool.

wow, i've never wanted to go to 5 bolt becouse it always seemed that youd have to flare with those chubbies... guess not 9.5 on the rear? did you have to pull the fenders much, it looks minimal.
the rotors must for 5 bolt, right?
mike
Posted by: Dr Evil Feb 4 2008, 08:26 AM
I have about 2-2.5" of flare blended in to the car Rotors are drilled 4 lug to 5, but you can use /6 if you want.

FWIW, 18x8.5 and 18x10 ATP 2pc. 285/30 in rear and 225/40 up front. Flares are standard width 7" and 9". Eric Shea rear trailing arms/hubs and 911 front end.

Cool! I like the way they fill the wheel wells and don't need shims to clear the BMW front callipers. The PO had oversized wheels before and the paint flaking on the rear fenders are from 225/50/15s he had on. I run 205/55/15 Gforce and they are nice and wide with no rubbing.
