914World.com _ 914World Garage _ What throttle body/switch is this?

Posted by: lmcchesney Jan 10 2004, 05:15 PM

huh.gif The throttle body and switch does not match the listing on Brad Ander's listing. The Throttle body is VW part # 022 133 067. It is 42mm dia. The switch has a number inprinted on the contact surface of 1288 310 005. The conector for the ECU has terminals of 14/2, 17,47/12, 20, 9. Thus, there are five tracts. What does this belong to? It came on my 1972 914 1.7L engine. The PO seems to have frankenstiened the car.
The more I explore this car the more the PO has me PO'd mad.gif .
I wish I could post pictures.
Thanks,

Without a pic, hmm could it be a 2.0L Vanagon one. I don't have that part number handy.

I wish I could post pictures.

soon; after yr 10th post the feature is enabled ...

oh - and wecome !

it takes a little time to extract some PO-induced weirdnesses, but it is worthwhile, and you do get a nice feeling of satisfaction every time the car runs a little better because of something youve done ...

I have a 2.0L vanagon one laying around if you are interested. Nice upgrade to get more air.
