The 914/beetle rocks. Nice!!
A 914 with a 917 motor....

New 914,
New Lady-friend!
Sha-ZAMM!
Is her mom single?
One of my co-workers sent this to me after hearing about all the work that I'm doing on my car. I think it defines "artist's impression"
I took the top of this sweet red car. (MS Paint, not photoshop)

Something that occurs to me looking at these pics....the 914 looks great without the targa bar. I mean in a pure secks kind of way
methinks a custom ragtop needs to happen
Another targa chop, done on ms paint. I added the chrome trim all around the shortened sails.
The NEW 7 wonders of the world

The seats need to be done as Stonehenge or Easter Island Moai
COY did this for me. He helped me to solidify my color choice and desire for those expensive ass wheels. Mirrors will be different as will some body mods. But the color is set in stone

Sorry Johannes, I had to...Just rear skirts and it needed motion.
this was a very nice picture, i just modified the engine a little

I lost my photoshop software when my PC died..go figure. Anyway , can someone do over TRE's car in a metallic silver, w black "creamsicle" trim, maybe some other colors and trims w/ a silver base. I do like color matching bumper tops if I am not asking too much and removing your artististic freedoms.
I need to find my scheme and this is pretty much where i am, just in bare steel presently...this doesn't count as a threadjack does it...
I just did this one for you guys today

And the aero analysis says almost every spoiler/wing/flare/ body mod costs horespower....
This mod gives you 2 free ponies.......

Here's a quick one I did.

Have you seen Raby's rat?
I know, it's not a 914. But it is fun...
I worry about some of you as these are all too funny. I hope Jake see the Rat thing.
Thanks for the chop Paul. I hope when I finish her in R.L. that the silver I choose doesnt soften the flares too much...any suggestions from the group on what color creamsicled trim might look best on a Deep Silver Cockroach?
so I got my copy of PS back...and made a fleet of CanAms

I dig the red. Try it and the green darker though.
This green

tada, good call scotty b, how do these hit ya?
the bright ones looked kinda "ricey " you know like those Honda kids...
Is your car already that grey shade?
If not I gots a suggestion in that direction too Porsche Slate Grey. With either of the other 2 colors would be superfantastimo IMHO
I should add that what got me thinking in this direction was a desire to have a black inside w/ red seats, door panels on a silver car, but damn if bright red just looks off on the outside.
does bare metal count as "that grey shade"..
although technically wrong, I really like the silverstone metallic from the first year S2000 (sorry Ferry), has a real nice bronze 'shadow' in low light
Hell, color is color. Porsche or Mercedes could have used the same shade if they wanted. Who cares what is came on. Just use Spies or Glasurit paint to keep it in the family And yeah it is a nice shade

Show me more ya picture pervs!!!

A repost, but I still like how it came out.
And I like THIS one so much, that I'm planning on building it over the Summer, just have to decide on the engine.
Air-Porsche
I played with the creamsicled silver some more, Not sure I like this too much from the front, I feel like if I want to use my red interior I should do at least some tie-in to the outside of the 'teen...
"Won't be easy to match that paint job. dry.gif"
It will if I buy this guy's car rather than use the one that I've already got . . .

Which versions of photoshop are in use here?
I've got CS3... with it there's the 3d layer option. I just ordered a 914 model off of eBay, and can scan it with my 3dscanner and photoshop it into pictures as a 3dobject layer. (hopefully I'll be able to figure it out. heh heh)
These pics look good!
Someone else's, that I added a hard top and eliminated the pop-ups
You guys are lucky (having Paint Shop and all) ... I have to do mine in MS Paint)

Howard did this one back in early 2007

I Hate Haters
So you hate me for hating myself? Then that must mean you really like me, to be able to hate me for not liking myself

Say would this be considered a build thread?
Hating 'Haters' ... it's an oxymoron, and hypocritical to boot ... just checking to make sure you guys are on the ball

All that work to make it look good without a top and all you can do is stick one
back on!
If a tops going on there, it's going to be the right one...
Natural Progression...

I've been playing a little in 3d.

What the 914 might have looked like had the VW and Porsche plants fell in the Soviet Sector after WWII . . .
Attached image(s)
Isn't that the Teedle?
Where are you on your Karman Ghia/Teener project?
The 914 is on hold for a while, until I finish up the 356SC. I've been replacing the tired 356 pieces with pieces from the VW drag car. Front's all set, the trans is almost in; just need to fabricate the new rear interior floor/paneling.
I kinda hope that it DOESN'T happen. but I think that we might end up campaigning the 356 at the various Nostalgia Drag Meets here in the North East for next year.
Depends . . .
