Andys photoshop thread got me peruzing my pics for the car Coy colored and wheeed for me. I got to noticing some pics I saved that I thought were just outstanding (poster type) shots. What do you have. I'll start with 2 for now l I have more though

Hi Mark,

That's Karl's LE. In MI we only need the rear plate for registration & the front plate is for show only (my guess).

BTW: My favorite 914 private junkyard. I do not sell parts off these cars, they are for viewing only. Everybody needs a place like this when you want to sit down & have a beer in the summer. I love junkyards.

Thanks guys, I thought I had my scheme figured out in my head but all these beautiful shots of creamsicles and bumblebees has me confused again...

In all seriousness, anyone have shots of a silver based car with non-black and non-silver in the appropriate creamsicle pattern? Using FG GT bumpers so painting them is a requirement vice the chromies/black top pad schemes.

I have an 11X14 matted and framed one hanging on the wall in my den. The picture was taken in 1973 by a good friend of mine who passed away about 10 years ago. You should see the 16X20 triple matted and framed picture he took of my old 914-6. It's a near perfect picture.

This is a shot of my car at an auto cross- I can't get enough of it. That was one of the best days ever. Finished 9th overall out of over 120 cars. Took the Boxster owner behind me (320AS) for an "instructional" run at the end of the day. Set up a beautyful 4 wheel drift of a 180 degree turn. He was laughing and giggling so hard I almost stopped to let him out. It was that distracting. What a great day. Hope others enjoy the pic.

The Bumblebee Racer is sold now but I have always loved this shot from Charles Schultz Airport at one of the Redwood Region Events. The sun-star effect off the front is very cool...

Is that your car? I always use that as one of the examples of how you can tell at a glance that a high quality job was done. all the details are thought of and the whole thing comes together so nicely! plus the nice custom touches like the louvered rocker covers.. great job!

#4 has been shot by a friend of mine.
#6 was shot by me. A french car was completelly restored last year ... you could say reconstructed ...
Most parts are new or rebuilt. Rear fenders have been redone from scratch. *
If something bad happens to my car, now I know where I have to go... Look at that job

Thank you for the nice comment! I appreciate the subjective analysis - a lot of work went into this car- by me. My car as it is today...I completed the 6 1/2 year bare shell redo in 1988- 20 years ago.

How many of us here can say it all started as a kid building model cars...DH
