if you need some of that cloth covered fuel line that is used on these engines (about 5/16 size) i found some at my jd dealer. part # L65382. it fits there utilitiy tractors manufactured in germany. dan

I typically buy it from any of the local VW places... but most of us use the smooth style now unless I have the OE plastic that went over the cloth lines of 1973.

Yes, but is it high pressure fuel line? 30lbs of gas flows though it and 'if" or when it cracks, gas will spray all over the hot engine or spill on the garage floor overnight. Guess what happens when you turn the lights on in the morning and there is a puddle of gas under the car??
