One of my fav authors while growing up....
One of my favorites as well... Probably partly responsible for the geek I am. 90 years is a good life. Especially with his accomplishments. Good Journey Arthur...
Wow, he had a good run.
He helped me become the nerd I am today.
Zach
The first novel that I remember reading was A Fall of Moondust.
He was a visionary. In addition to his writings, he proposed the idea of geosynchronous communications satellites.
I Readed 2001 ( helped me to understand some ideas that are hidden in the movie), 2010 and Rama ...
Hes books are always very acurate on the scientific side. That helps to make the stories more believable.
Maybe one day his space "lift" will be built.
He was truly one of the greats in SF.
There goes 2020.
He was a good writer and a learned man...
"my God, it's full of stars"
Godspeed
2001 A Space Odyssey and A Childhoods End certainly influenced me and kept my head partially in the stars since my own childhood. I miss him already!
Wow, I'm right in the middle of reading Cradle. A huge lose to the SciFi world.
Somewhere in the cosmos, him and Isaac are shooting the shit.
He was the greatest. Maybe now he's a starchild. I expect to see him in my TV ( wasn't it? ).
