"Top Gun" house, Oceanside, CA. Featured as his GF's place in the 1986 Tom Cruise movie. The city block this house is on is slated to have a multi story hotel built on it. The house will be moved and made a part of the development as a bar!

A Mercedes that ran 4.6 million kms as a taxi in Greece. That is almost 3 Million Miles ... This one is shown in the Mercedes Museum. The owner received a brand new Mercedes from the factory.

Menhir de Champ Dolent, France. (2000 - 3500 B.C.).
This one is one of the tallest still raised.
Its 9.3 m (30 ft) high and about 5 m (16 ft) are under the ground level.
When you see that you are amazed. You can't figure how they transported and raized these huge stones 5000 years ago.

I got these shots at Pompeii last summer. The dick carvings in stone where to mark the way to the Brothel area. In the houses their where frescoes to show the people that did not speak the local language to point to show what style they wanted. This info I received from our local guide.

I spent 2 nights on Mont Saint Michel when I was 10 years old!

I will never forget the tide comming in and covering the road to leave!!!! I guess they raised the road since then!

One of the most amazing places on earth. My wife and I arrived at dusk and walked across the land bridge. Walked to the top (I dont remember how many steps to the cathedral entrance but, sheez!) for a concert. I will always remember the bats flying around and the incredible acoustics.

We spent the night in a hotel with a view of the island all lit up. Will never forget it. I will try to dig up the photos I have from the trip. Thanks for posting the photo brings back lots of memories.

Yes, the road is higher but it will be removed. They found out the road stops the sand around the Mont st Michel. They will put a sort of train on piles so the Mont Saint Michel will be an island again as it was in the past

The back of my boy's head after neurosurgery, Taking a walk outside Cedars-Sinai the day after the surgery. They had to port and polish the port in his skull and cut out part of his top vertabra for lightening. Lighter=faster.

Really amazing dinner that I just had. This is the leftovers! I know what I'm having for lunch tomorrow- New York Steak, Sicilian White Beans, BBQ'd Asparagus and an Argentinian Salsa that's really more like salad than salsa. It goes great with the steak. I like to cook.

Worked on BAD TUB's engine today.....cleaned up wiring, re-routed the oil breather, fixed an oil leak, cleaned up said oiled up parts, added a cold start vacuum idler valve.....

A couple more. I sank my truck in some permafrost in Afghanistan. To put this in perspective, the truck is almost 9' tall and I am only 5'6". We had to wait a while for a tow truck big enough to haul a 50K lbs truck out of the mess. I don't feel too bad about it though. The only truck that didn't get stuck that day was the tow truck. HEMTT Wrecker. The second picture is from a few days earlier while we were out looking for a weapons cache.

I'm a licensed Investigator, I do bail "skips" and go along with the bail bondsman on pick ups....that's a Titanium "AIRLITE" .357 5 shot.

I also do Track and Field as well as Football. I like Track as where else can you blow off a .357 with blanks on a school campus and not have to fill out any paperwork AND get paid?

3 pics from the same 1999 NASCAR Pocono 500 race.

One of my childhood racing idols Richard Petty was posing with a monument(?) placed in the infield of Pocono Raceway in his honor.

Legend has it that this is the biggest chunk of coal in PA.





At the same race, in July 1999 amid sweltering conditions, high 90's, high humidity, total sun, some guys who work locally at Hawk Water Hauling brought their rides to the race, full of nice cold water. They had the only mud puddle in the otherwise dry and dusty infield.




Here's a pic of their rigs. It's the only way to go to the race. The rigs also double as viewing stands.

I guess the rig also triples as a ladies room. Check out the chick squatting under the trailer.

Hi All,

I just returned from a trip up-north MI to open up our summer place in Petoskey. I took a few pictures of the ELK in the area. Beautiful animals. I took these with my 300 telephoto lens and could smell them from that distance.
