914World.com _ 914World Garage _ removing white paint from white HL surrounds

another use for a fine product. i've been soaking a pair of surrounds in a bucket of slightly diluted Oil Eater for about a week as an experiment. just stick them in the bucket and let the product work. besides being a swell degreaser, you can see the the paint lifting off. the OE is non fummy, non-flamable, and doesn't melt the plastic. the 1 gallon jug is bargin priced at Costco. wear gloves to protect your hands. the OE can really dry them out.

Good to know. PO had painted mine flat black. Got most off, but feared melting the plastic.
