914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Hey B- what did you say you use to

I can't remember what it was. I don't think it was the orange goop.

We use the orange Locktite # 564! ( used for many other things) not inexpensive but good!

You mean your suposed to use gasket goo on top of the gasket?

We got tired of installing new intake blocks and still having an air leak when you're done. So now we always use the #564 and run a bead around the intake hole on each side of the intake blocks. Solves the problem once and for all!

I have used Hylomar in the past. It's nice because it never hardens and so the gaskets don't stick to the heads.

Is Curil K2 too much for it?

when I did mine recently I put a thin amount of oil on both sides. It seams to work pretty well. But, it's very annoying to get a vaccum leak with them, so glue might be the way to go, I had to fiddle with mine.

I don't think that oil will do it. I want to pick something sticky up to use later tonight. Any other suggestions?
