The 930 fins are made of wood, one needs to be replaced due to a crack. They are mounted with screws from behind.

See... this isn't even in the same leagues as those others.... Though I do not like the slant nose thing it is done well. The others are not so much. The first is soooo off it hurts. Did you notice that the front right and left are not even close to being even?

Why change the rims? they look appropriate to the car. I actually think yours is quite well done as far a chalons go. I would leave it alone. work on functionality first, appearance second....

It was yellow... with M A S S I V E ugly rear flares.... 8 tailpipes.... and a FUR interior.... yes... FUR--LOL

man, so many good quotables from him.

The orange one is actually a twin turbo flat 6 which the owner claims made 700hp. He has a picture from the 70's (cant find it now) of Ferry Porsche looking at it at a socal porsche meet, where he claims that Dr. P said it was 'interesting' I'm sure Ferry wanted to say a lot more, but was just being polite, either that or the German wasn't translated correctly.

I especially like the way the wheels are matched to the rear wheel wells! Maybe it's being set up for dualies on the rear axle - pretty handy for towing a large trailer.

This guy lives in Eugene & called me about one I had for sale. After him telling me all about what he did to them to "improve the car as it is flat out ugly". I said I will keep the 3 flat out ugly cars to myself. I'll be damned if I will let them get Fugly . To each his own & all but no way I was going to knowingly put a 914 through that hell. yeah, i guess its not that bad compared to the others but i just cant stomach those make shift emblems, rear flares on the front, chrome on aluminum wheels, hood scoop and gigantic race seats. Also all the bondo blended prone to crack ground effects.
