Posted by: toon1 May 11 2008, 10:47 AM

I have an idea for getting fresh air in to the engine bay.

YES "A" pillar scoops!!!!

Does anyone have pics. of what the inside of the A pillar looks like?

Maybe one from a sawsall party??

Thank's Keith

Looks like an "A" but technically the "B" pillar.

I am think about a CF overlay on the "B" pillar to match my CF hoods ?

Yea, that's what I'm looking for.

You guy's obviously know where I'm going with this.

I'm looking to do a pass through. A scoop on the outside, through the pillar, to the top of the two little pads on the outside of the engine lid.

It would look very close to stock and not interfear with the raising and lowering engine lid.

I have seen add on pieces like this but never an integrated piece

Does the reinforcement piece in the. middle add support incase of a roll over or is it for structural??

I'm looking to do it in metal to avoid the sun ruining the CF.

Black CF would be a neat look to replace the vinyl.

Not quite exactly what you were intending, but the same idea.

The inner reinforcement:

That IS your rollbar. I would not be cutting into it. Better would be to replace the chrome trim with a formed duct on the outside of the sail panel. Much easier than cutting.

unless you got a full rollcage, i would leave the rollbar alone ... it's called that for a reason ...
