Brad has been working at HPH and putting in 12+ hour days. I think it hasn't been played with. I might try to work something out so I can swing by and work on my car this weekend. I'll look at the van™ as well.

If the van will be ready pretty soon, I'd be willing to drive it up to Dave & his
family. I'd just need some funds to fly back home to Modesto though.

I am on the phone with Brad right now ( actually, his majesty has me on hold) He used the thing Rich sent, and it is basically saying the engine is doing what it is supposed to be doing. It could be that the "new" motor just needs some time to get used to everything....He is in talks with the world famous Craig Laughlin setting up details for shipping the van to the Cawdrey familia. Should be in the next few weeks.
