does anyone know the best tire pressure for yokohama 205/55's. for spirited street driving? 73 1.7 stock rims

I usually fill to the recommended pressure from the manufacturer and then adjust using the shoe polish method. Put a dab of white shoe polish where the tread meets the side wall, maybe an inch or 2. Then drive it like you stole it and see how much "roll" is indicated by the lack of shoe polish and adjust as necessary...it's an old method...I sure as HELL didn't come up with it......good luck.

You don't tell us what rubber compound you have. For R rated rubber, I use 28psi on the autocross course for AO38 R's in that size. I would say, 28 to 32 is a general range.

Go with the stock pressures for street use.
