914World.com _ 914World Garage _ TV screens in the head rests, we could do this too...

Could be one of the STUPIDEST thing ever done to a car. How long before someone here does it?

Try not to laugh your ass off. Some of the replies are priceless.

Damn, our headrests are too low in relation to the backpad! The screens I mounted don't show through the back window!

Back to the drawing board!

i'm considering mounting some Klipsh(sp) corner horn speakers on the roof. an old skool mac tube amp and tow a generator on a trailer to power up the amp. you'll hear me long before you see me.

Posted by: carr914 Jul 2 2008, 10:39 AM

Kevin, your the man. I've got Klipsch LaScala's, Cornwall's and Heresy's in my listening room. I could host a Rolling Stones concert with these muthers.

I always said we should have a 42 inch plasma in the trunk and pop it open on the race track to mess with the competitors.

When I was in high school all the lowriders would put speakers in the grills of their impalas and caprices so that everybody walking around could hear all their silly music. I never did that. It wasn't until later that they discovered the joys of 15" subwoofers.
I was busy trying to make a '60 beetle into a Porsche.

My wife looked over at him and yelled "Thanks for letting us here your crappy music." Mind you she is almost 9mo pregnant. I had a hard time keeping a staight face until we got into the store.

Yeah, but they don't generally just sit there for ten minutes reving their bikes. They were just sitting there for over 10 minutes.

I mean seriously, WTF.gif ??? I figure between the TV's and the labor he paid for(or dare I say his parents) to have them installed there's probably close to 4K wrapped up in that mod (w/ that kinda money he damn sure didn't do it himself). For that kinda cash you can buy a perfectly good 914!! (Had to throw in that plug.) biggrin.gif Hell for that kinda money you can turbo that ride twice over, and still have enough leftover to buy spares.

What I'd like to know is how is that even street legal? Couldn't they get him for distracting other drivers, or something to that extent?

It really blows my mind how idiots like him can waste money on that kinda shit, and you know damn well mom and dad paid for it, meanwhile guys like us are working our asses off just trying to get ahead a few bucks. This is a perfect example of why rich people shouldn't breed. Castrate 'em all, I say!

C*nts, the lot of 'em! rolleyes.gif

Yeah, those screens are totally nuts. Next thing, somebody will be puttin a V-8 in a 914!!! Boy, how stoopid would that be?????

OK, before I get blasted, just because someone puts something really non-traditional in their teener, it doesn't make them evil. Would I put plasma screens in my teener or my Lotus (if I had one)? Well, no. But then I don't have stoopid money lying around to play with. By the same token, I wouldn't build a swimming pool in the shape of a Vodka bottle, I wouldn't spend a zillion dollars bringing my car up to Coucours specs, and I wouldn't start a war based on lies (unless it was with Canada, but that's another issue altogether...).

But oddly shaped swimming pools are kinda cool, Concours cars are awesome, and I really want to plant the U.S. flag in Toronto flag.gif (no reason, I just thought it'd be cool). To each their own.

just for the record, I have two 7" TV screens in the certer console of my 911 Targa. The setup includes 2 DVD/CD players, 2 nav systems, XM and Sirius radio, Ipod and a 6 disk changer. And BTW, I paid for it, my father is long gone :-(

Yeah, but you're an attorney. Those NAV systems are probably pretty important when you're chasing those ambulances av-943.gif

Now, now. Let's take a look at your resume:

Lawyer Overview
Born in Mount Vernon, New York, Lee David Auerbach, an accountant and practicing attorney for almost three decades...

Practicing attorney? According to "FINDLAW:

West Practice Categories:
..., Criminal Law,... Personal Injury -- Plaintiff, ...

And you know nothing of chasing ambulances??? lol3.gif

OK, it shows you're mostly a corporate attorney, but that personal injury stuff...

Hmmmm, the left coast seemed to get it right again! slap.gif Anyway, I give you all the credit in the world. If you're going to chase any vehicles, a good GPS system is invaluable, smilie_pokal.gif

thanks for checking out findlaw-- the advertising stuff really works! I have only handled one PI case in 31 years of practice. That was a cross the line head on collision and my friend was in the hospital for a month. Driver had 100/300 coverage and the carrier put the policy in immediately.

I'm just a tax guy.

I can tell by you're response that if I had tax problems, you'd be the guy for me. I worked for about 5 years for the Fed Public Defender in Nevada, so I know how the process works. Of the about 60 FindLaw categories, the Personal Injury was pretty well hidden, and it took a while to find it! I'm not sure any attorney limits their FindLaw listings to a select few categories, so I have no doubt what you are saying is absolutely correct.

Just having some fun with an old attorney joke. Hope it didn't cause any issues. By the same token, everybody else should know that I was just joshin. There's no reason to attack any body's line of work, and I hope I didn't cross any lines in that respect.

Respectively,

no offense taken. If you are still with the PD office, you are the one who should be praised. Its a thankless job, long hours and no pay. And BTW, you guys get no respect because everyone is innocent.

You mean they're not really innocent???? That's not what they told us... lol3.gif

Never an attorney, just the guy who managed their computers and communications sysetms. But I was totally surrounded by attorneys every day... (the horror) lol3.gif I agree, the FPD's are totally committed to ensuring that the defendants get a fair trial. Certainly more than just a paycheck for these men and women.

I left Nevada a few years ago, now I'm a regulatory and compliance auditor for a really big healthcare company (out of the kettle and into the fire...), working daily with big-4 autod teams. Sometimes it makes me long for the good old days of working exclusively with attorneys rolleyes.gif
