My cousin and I made a bit of a holiday out of the LeMans Classic this year and drove down to St. Rafael in the South. Thought you might like some pictures.
. Total 2347 miles, 426L 95RON, 3.5L oil. Really enjoyable trip and I was pleased that the car not only made it all the way but didn't miss a beat apart from the Permatune CDI playing up (quick swap back to std ign and all was fine).
slight exhaust/petrol staiton kerb interface
Didn't want to do toll roads all the way and made a detour through alps...
Guess who drove with the front boot open :?
I kind of liked the TR6's number plate
at Arnage
Wow, looks like a fantastic trip....
Thanks for sharing the pics...

That was fun! Great pictures. Thanks for posting them.
Nice pictures! Thanks
I visited the Classic Lemans in 2006 with my Wife, for our Honeymoon and loved the experience!!
Where did you camp?? It looks like the same area that we stayed with the UK based Porche Speedster andn 550 Club.. I believe the RSK in the pictures was the same one that was there when we were!
Looks like a ton of fun, that was an unreal experience and I even got some seat time around the circuit in a 911S belonging to one of my customers....
Cool trip. What was that car (license plate 300 UNK)?
Very cool ! Thank you for sharing all theese fantastic pictures.
Great pics! Thanks!
So how many times did the Triumph break down???
Thanks for sharing, looks like it was a great time!
Jim
The blue car with the '300 UNK' plate is a one off special designed by the same guy responible for the original xerox photocopier -or so the data sheet in the window read. Powered by a coventry climax. The RSK was just parked up at the Mulsanne corner. Looked quite nice. We camped with the Triumph club at Tetre Rouge
Looks like a great trip. Thanks for the pics! Some really nice cars there.
Great pictures. Going to LeMans is a dream of mine.
James,
Thanks for sharing all those wonderful photos.
ic. Looking at many of the cars that you've focused your camera on is like reading back issues of Road & Track or Car from the '60s. Some of your shots are very creative as well. And based on the "road images", the must have been quite rewarding. Good show, thanks again for posting your LeMans trip.

I know this car ...
The owner is a very active member of the French 914 club.
I thought I'd add my photos here instead of starting another thread. Had a fantastic time in France, can't wait until 2010! Sadly I broke the 914 the week before and had to go in my daily car but it didn't detract from the fantastic times in Le Mans.
Jeez,
What a fantastic assortment of historics! Great pics! LeMans would probably put me in sensory overload. Thanks for even more photo sharing
Paul
