914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Undercarraige paint, not powder coat

Posted by: retrofit Aug 1 2008, 05:48 PM

Was cruising through Eastwoods catalog and found their "new" ceramic under carriage paint. It's a two part mix, paint and hardener, so it should be more durable than just paint. An alternative to powder coat?
Anybody try it yet???
Question? What is more correct, gloss or satin? My stock suspension parts are faded black accented with rock chips and specks of rust along with the faint whisper of old road kill...
Seriously-gloss or satin. I say satin. PC is gloss, yes?
Enuf 914 mind warpage.

Semigloss. PC you can get in all kinds of finishes. From gloss to matte.
Closest I found is a color called Raven black. Very close but not perfect.
PC shows every imperfection. There are metal fillers you can use though.
Odd thing about the Porsche black, it has a very slight tint of grey in it, making it hard to duplicate.
