914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Location of oil temp sender in a 3.2?

Posted by: buck toenges Aug 2 2008, 08:36 PM

The Bently manual shows the oil temp sender below the pressure sender and toward the center of engine by the fan on page 102-3 but on page 102-6 they call it oil pressure warning switch. So can anyone clear this up? Where is the oil pressure sensor located? I need to send in the oil temp sender in to get a new quad gauge from big mark designs.
Thanks
Buck

Oil pressure sender and the sender for the idiot light should be a combined sender with two posts....the idiot light is just an on/off switch.

The sender that screws horizontly into the case is the temp. sender.
The sender screwed into th cam oil line is the pressure sender.
The one screwed into the case on the flywheel end of the case top side is the oil pressure light.
