Red Rocks Classis 2008 RRC 08
thanks Mike!
I think we should start a gas/donation pool to get the Salmon one to ride his motorcycle to Torrey....
anybody want to pitch in?
I figure 12$ ought to fill his motorbike
I donate the first dollar
Attached image(s)
I gotcha for another dollar!
I would gladly donate, but he really needs to drive a car. That way he could haul the parts I bought. They just aren't going to fit on a bike. Is any one going by his house that would want to haul some front suspension parts to Torrey?
Man... I'm reading a PM frpm Brant and he said something about a donation... I knew something was up.
Dan, I don't know; one strut per Krauser bag and a dry bag for a change of undies.
is this close to how your bike looks?
got a picture?
skip the change of undies, and bring beer instead
That's it... except; mine's metallic gold/curry. I just took the fenders (working on the tank now) off this morning to have Troy do a repaint.
Another good looking project, eh Brant?
Cool Eric!
Cool Dan!
Dan, when did you get that project
sheesh... you'd think one car getting painted would be enough projects at a time Dan....

bump...
Eric, you need to get something vintage:

24 days left! We are getting excited!
So are you going to make it to RRC Eric?
Not sure yet.
I believe that weekend is falling on a PRS event that Paul has invited me to. I missed last year and I guess it was pretty cool with Al Di Meola playing at Paul's house etc.
Decisions decisions... Cocktails with Rockstars. Rock tales with car stars.
Three weeks!
The above picture is from Calf Creek Lower Falls in between Boulder and Escalante. It is programmed into the GPS, so perhaps we will stop there for some pics!
Might be a good spot for our Official RRC Wet Tee Shirt Contest!
I'll vote
I don't think the World would like to see me in a "Wet t-shirt"
Henna love water, she'll stand in for me.
You taught her how to drive!?
Just a little to the first page. Do we know how many are registered yet?
A little bug told me around 15+...... I dunno about them little bugs though!
More of the Highway 12 drive!
13 Days left!
Guess I could throw in whatever the shipping costs would be on my parts if you have room to bring them.
Oh those are heavey... that's gonna cost ya!
I will Paypal you $2.00 Eric! (hey, thats double Ron's offer! )
Haha, he did not say your car would run on this alleged "substance" did he? I suspect foulplay, especially if he said he would fill it at the event. (a funnel and tube after everyone has had a lot of )
Pony up some dough... I'm poor.
(work with me... I'll give ya 1/2 and let you sleep in Slits room)
I'm feeling magnamemous;lakjd;kla jhfg,f,,,,
I up my bid to $3.00
brant
Well, seems Brant is actually alive....I will up it to $4 ....no higher though, any more than that and I won't be able to bring both cars!
I have resgistered, I was planning to go but now I find that I have another event to take care of. I told the PCA and a sponsoer that I would do a "Q" for them at an A/X and that came up as the same weekend. So I'm out. Gunna mess you guys. Sorry.
Greg, we've got $7 bucks to split.
Are they slip-ons?
He's not poser
Do you guys have a list of attendees?
I'll tell ya... them hotel peoples is s-h-a-r-p.
(whew...)
List of attendees:
Wills
Brant
Eric and Val
Kevin
Eric Shea
Elvira
Greg
Cobra
Elliot
Jeff and Suzie
Ron Diedrichsen
Melba
jeff steele
laura
Benjamin and wife
......umm I think that is it.....
that list looks a little light..........
I think there are a few more to add
What happened to your GJ buddies?
I haven't ever driven miller
its one of the events I keep skipping
its a "Nostalgia club" event and after last year when the miata got me
(Nostalgia has a class called "vintage miatas")
after that I skipped it
Nostalgia runs full outer loop for big cars, and inner loop for small cars
kinda a nice compromise and fairly progressive thinking to please both contingents with 2 options at the same event.
my next few weeks are crazy
- repair this weekend
- Utah the following weekend
- pueblo enduro the following weekend
- repair and service the weekend after that
- hallet oklahoma for 3 days the following weekend
- PPIR the weekend after that (if the car is still in one piece)
I'll have to skip something to maintain my sanity

Wow! Those bikes are almost Ferg worthy! Very Nice!
One week and we will be
Less than a week for some of us!
Went to Miller last summer for the Shelby convention. Did not run myself but it is an awsome facility, but hotter than hell in July. Might not be so bad now.
I'm jamming on my Silver Queen today.
Por-15 the rear trunk, start"Replace rear main"
PIA for a simple seal replacement
Good luck with that Kevin! I wish I was on the other side of the mountains, I would come give you a hand!
Hopefully we will see some UFO's (there is a UFO landing site in Boulder, Ut.)
No prob. Eric
There'll be plenty of help tomorrow,
???
I had help today! Even though my youngest cannot make it to RRC, she still helped me wash the '73.
bump
Damn Brant.....you could at least have said my kid was cute or something!
:bfh:
Well, this seems to be my thread.
Well I just need to pack up some clothes, buy a quart of oil and head out. Sounds like the Start Relay is outta stock, so the 2.0 will have to take breaks.
I also have to call and finalize Saturday mornings Head count will be??????
there are still some people on the fence.
so lets go with the paid head count
(and hope that one or two of the unpaid people still show)
#16
regarding the relay
go to any flaps in town there
ask for the "ford starter relay"
it doesn't look as nice as Eric's kit, and it won't come with all of the connections pre-wired like his. But it works fine. and you can sheet-metal screw it to the back of the engine tinwork, right above the starter
its fairly simple to wire and has about 4 poles on it
you transfer the yellow starter wire onto it, and then the starter power onto it. Then the output of each of those goes back to the starter
probably 18beans, and 30minutes work.
brant
Make sure the starter relay is well grounded,(Mounted to clean metal)
Off to get the fly wheel resurface, ugly oil burn marks.
The relay itself has to be grounded hmm? Will the other silver bullet be up and running by RRC?
Oh I see....but the "other" was in reference to Val's '73. Hopefully I will find the time to do it today. Put in a 22 hour day at work....time for a nap.
Kevins got his car going and....

Valves checked.
Don't you love it when you don't have to adjust those little buggers?
Rolling out in about 16 hours!
Have fun, kids! Drive safe and a few for us. (after you're done driving, of course)
The party has begun!
Sweet!
Wish I could be there with all of you..............
Post lots of pics and of course.................
Use your best Aaaaaallllllgggeeeebbbbrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
